- 1 cup water
- 2 chai tea bags
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon (plus extra for garnish)
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg (plus extra for garnish)
- 1–2 tablespoons maple syrup or honey
- 1 cup milk (whole or 2% recommended)
- 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1/4 cup half-and-half
- Pinch of sea salt
Instructions
- Bring the water to a boil in a saucepan.
- Once boiling, introduce the chai tea bags and let them steep for at least 5 minutes.
- Add in the spices and sweetener, stirring well.
- In a separate pot, gently heat the milk until hot but not boiling. Whisk or froth until it’s nice and creamy.
- Combine the milk and cream with the tea mixture, stirring to combine.
- Serve hot or iced, garnished with additional spices.
