Description
A classic Italian dish that transforms a few basic ingredients into a delightful meal, perfect for quick weeknight dinners.
Ingredients
Scale
- 200g Spaghetti
- 60ml Olive Oil (extra virgin)
- 4 cloves Garlic (thinly sliced)
- 1/2 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes (optional)
- Fresh Parsley (chopped)
- Salt (to taste)
- Parmesan Cheese (optional, for serving)
Instructions
- Cook the spaghetti according to the package directions until just al dente. Reserve about a cup of pasta water before draining.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the thinly sliced garlic and red pepper flakes to the skillet.
- Sauté until the garlic turns golden brown, taking care not to burn it.
- Drain the spaghetti and add it to the skillet with the garlic oil.
- Toss the pasta to ensure it’s evenly coated. If it seems dry, stir in some reserved pasta water until desired consistency is reached.
- Remove from heat and fold in chopped parsley.
- Serve immediately, topped with freshly grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
Notes
For added flavor, consider variations like anchovies, lemon zest, or different herbs.
