Description

A soft and fluffy milk bread that’s perfect for brunch or as a snack, easy to make with basic ingredients.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups warm milk
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons butter (melted)

Instructions

  1. Dissolve yeast in warm milk with sugar and let sit for 5-10 minutes.
  2. Combine dry ingredients by whisking flour and salt in a mixing bowl.
  3. Incorporate wet ingredients by creating a well in the flour and adding the yeast mix and melted butter.
  4. Mix until a dough forms.
  5. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes.
  6. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for approximately 1 hour.
  7. Shape the dough into a loaf after the first rise.
  8. Transfer to a greased loaf pan and let rest for 30 minutes.
  9. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 30-35 minutes.
  10. Cool the bread briefly in the pan before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Store leftovers in a zip-top bag at room temperature for up to 2-3 days or freeze for up to a month.
