Description
Delightful dessert combining flaky puff pastry with rich whipped cream and juicy raspberries, perfect for celebrations.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 sheet of puff pastry
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup fresh raspberries
- Extra powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface. Cut it into rectangles.
- Place the pastry rectangles on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 10-15 minutes or until they are puffed and golden brown.
- Allow the baked pastry to cool completely.
- While waiting, whip the heavy cream in a mixing bowl until it forms soft peaks. Slowly add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, continuing to whip until stiff peaks form.
- Once the pastry is cool, carefully cut each rectangle in half horizontally.
- On the bottom half of each pastry, spread a generous layer of whipped cream. Top with fresh raspberries before placing the top half of the pastry back on.
- Dust the assembled Napoleons with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
For best results, use cold cream for whipping and consider variations like different fruits or chocolate ganache.
