  • 1 1/2 cups warm water (about 110°F)
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until bubbly.
  2. Add flour, salt, Parmesan cheese, garlic, and olive oil to the yeast mixture. Stir until a dough forms.
  3. Knead on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise in a warm area for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C).
  6. Punch down the dough and shape it into a round loaf. Place it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Let it rise for another 30 minutes.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped.
  9. Let cool on a wire rack before slicing.
