- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange the baguette slices in a single layer.
- Brush each slice lightly with olive oil for even coverage.
- Toast the bread in the oven for about 5-7 minutes until golden and crispy, then take it out and set aside.
- In a large bowl, mix the diced tomatoes, mozzarella, and chopped basil.
- Add minced garlic, olive oil, and balsamic vinegar to the bowl, gently stirring to combine.
- Season the mixture with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
- Let the mixture sit for about 10 minutes at room temperature to allow flavors to meld.
- Spoon the tomato-mozzarella mixture generously onto each toasted baguette slice.
- Drizzle with a little more olive oil on top if desired.
- Serve immediately and savor the burst of Italian flavors.

For a different flavor profile, substitute tomatoes with heirloom varieties or use burrata cheese instead of mozzarella.
