Description

Make creamy and tangy yogurt easily at home with your Instant Pot using just two main ingredients.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups of milk (whole, 2%, or skim)
  • 2 tablespoons of plain yogurt with live cultures
  • Optional toppings: Fresh blueberries, Granola, Sweetener (honey, maple syrup, or stevia)

Instructions

  1. Pour the milk into the Instant Pot.
  2. Select the ‘Yogurt’ setting and set for 8 hours.
  3. Once done, carefully remove the inner pot and allow it to cool.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix a small amount of lukewarm milk with the plain yogurt until smooth, then stir this mixture back into the main pot.
  5. Return the pot to the Instant Pot and select ‘Yogurt’ mode again for another 8 hours.
  6. After the second cycle, refrigerate the yogurt for a few hours before serving.
  7. Serve with your choice of fruits, granola, or sweeteners.

Notes

Best consumed within two weeks, but can last up to three weeks if stored properly.
