Description
Crispy chicken wings coated in a sweet and tangy honey lemon pepper sauce, perfect for game days and gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pounds Chicken Wings
- 3 tablespoons Potato Starch
- 1 tablespoon Baking Powder
- 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
- ¼ teaspoon Paprika
- Oil Spray (for baking)
- ½ cup Honey
- Zest from 1 Lemon
- ¼ cup Lemon Juice (adjust to taste)
- 1 tablespoon Minced Garlic
- 1 tablespoon Butter
- 1–2 teaspoons Ground Pepper
- Pinch of Salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 450°F.
- Pat dry the chicken wings with paper towels to ensure they roast well.
- In a large bowl, combine potato starch, baking powder, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Toss this mixture with the wings, ensuring they are thoroughly coated.
- Lightly spray a parchment-lined baking sheet with oil and lay the wings in a single layer. Give the tops a light spray of oil as well.
- Lower the oven temperature to 425°F and bake for 35-40 minutes, flipping the wings halfway and spraying them again.
- While they bake, prepare the sauce: in a saucepan over medium heat, mix honey, lemon juice, lemon zest, minced garlic, butter, salt, and pepper. Stir and let it simmer for about 3-5 minutes until well combined.
- Save a bit of the sauce for dipping if you’d like, then toss the wings in the remaining sauce once they’re out of the oven.
Notes
For extra crispiness, ensure the wings are thoroughly dried before applying the coating.
