Ingredients

- 2 cups thinly sliced potatoes
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 can (10.5 ounces) cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
- In a large bowl, mix the cooked ground beef, cream of mushroom soup, milk, salt, and pepper.
- In a greased baking dish, layer half of the sliced potatoes, followed by half of the beef mixture. Repeat the layers.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove the foil, sprinkle the cheese on top, and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
You can prepare the casserole ahead of time and refrigerate it. It also reheats well for leftovers.
