  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (plus additional for greasing)
  • 1 ¾ cups warm water (about 110°F)
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil (for the topping)
  • 3 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • ½ teaspoon salt (for the topping)
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary or thyme (optional, for extra flavor)
  • Flaky sea salt (for sprinkling)
  • Fresh parsley or herbs (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Combine the flour, salt, and instant yeast in a large bowl.
  2. Stir in 2 tablespoons of olive oil and warm water until a sticky dough forms.
  3. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it rise at room temperature for 1 to 2 hours or until it has doubled in size.
  4. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish generously with additional olive oil.
  5. Transfer the risen dough to the pan and gently stretch it to fill the edges.
  6. Rest the dough for another 30 minutes while preparing the garlic topping.
  7. Heat 3 tablespoons olive oil over low heat, add minced garlic and ½ teaspoon of salt, cooking just until fragrant.
  8. Press deep dimples into the dough and drizzle the garlic oil evenly on top.
  9. Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese, herbs, and flaky sea salt.
  10. Bake in a preheated oven at 425°F (220°C) for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
  11. Cool for 10 minutes before slicing into squares or strips and serving warm.
