Description

Delightful air fryer fried pickles that combine tangy crunch with a crispy coating, making a healthier snack option.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Dill pickles (or your preferred type)
  • Cornmeal
  • All-purpose flour
  • 1 egg (beaten)
  • Breadcrumbs
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Slice your pickles into chips.
  2. Set up your breading station: use three bowls—one for flour, one for the beaten egg, and one for a mixture of cornmeal, breadcrumbs, salt, and pepper.
  3. Dip each pickle slice into the flour, then into the egg, and finally coat them in the cornmeal mixture.
  4. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and spray the basket with cooking spray.
  5. Arrange the breaded pickles in a single layer in the basket and lightly spray the tops with cooking spray.
  6. Cook for 8-10 minutes, flipping the pickles halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
  7. Enjoy immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

For an extra crunch, consider double-breading the pickles. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.
