- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups chocolate chips
- Pink buttercream frosting (for topping)
- Heart-shaped cookie cutter (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a large heart-shaped baking pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
- Beat in the eggs and vanilla extract until everything is well combined.
- Gradually add in the flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix until the dough comes together.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
- Press the cookie dough evenly into the prepared baking pan.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the cookie cake cool completely in the pan.
- Once cooled, spread the pink buttercream frosting on top.
- If desired, cut out heart shapes and serve to show your love!
