Description

A comforting, cheesy sandwich filled with ground beef, perfect for lunch, dinner, or a late-night snack.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 slices of cheese (cheddar or American)
  • 4 slices of bread
  • Butter, for spreading
  • Optional toppings: pickles, tomatoes, lettuce

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the diced onion until translucent.
  2. Add the ground beef, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook until the beef is browned and cooked through.
  3. Remove the skillet from heat and set aside.
  4. Butter one side of each bread slice.
  5. On the non-buttered side of two slices, layer the beef mixture and cheese slices.
  6. Top with the other slices of bread, buttered side up.
  7. Heat a separate skillet over medium heat and grill the sandwiches until golden brown on both sides and the cheese is melted.
  8. Serve with optional toppings as desired.

Notes

For added freshness, serve with a side salad or crunchy vegetables.
