A comforting, cheesy sandwich filled with ground beef, perfect for lunch, dinner, or a late-night snack.
Ingredients

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 slices of cheese (cheddar or American)
- 4 slices of bread
- Butter, for spreading
- Optional toppings: pickles, tomatoes, lettuce
Instructions
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the diced onion until translucent.
- Add the ground beef, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook until the beef is browned and cooked through.
- Remove the skillet from heat and set aside.
- Butter one side of each bread slice.
- On the non-buttered side of two slices, layer the beef mixture and cheese slices.
- Top with the other slices of bread, buttered side up.
- Heat a separate skillet over medium heat and grill the sandwiches until golden brown on both sides and the cheese is melted.
- Serve with optional toppings as desired.
Notes
For added freshness, serve with a side salad or crunchy vegetables.
