Description

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar (25g)
  • 1 tbsp baking powder (12g)
  • ½ tsp salt (3g)
  • 1¾ cups milk (420ml)
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup vegetable oil (120ml)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (5ml)
  • Black gel food coloring
  • Optional decorations: candy eyes, chocolate syrup, sprinkles, mini spiders (not edible)

Instructions

  1. Whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, oil, and vanilla.
  3. Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and mix until smooth, avoiding overmixing.
  4. Stir in black gel food coloring until desired color is achieved.
  5. Transfer batter into a squeeze bottle or piping bag.
  6. Preheat and grease a griddle or skillet over medium heat.
  7. Pipe a spider web design onto the griddle and cook for 2–3 minutes until firm.
  8. Cool on a rack and decorate with optional toppings before serving.
