  • Yield: 4 servings 1x
  • Diet: Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free

Description

A quick and flavorful beef and broccoli dish made in the Instant Pot, featuring savory notes of soy sauce and garlic, perfect for busy weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb beef, sliced thinly (flank steak or sirloin)
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch (for thickening)
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • Chopped green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Set the Instant Pot to sauté mode. Pour in sesame oil and heat up. Add minced garlic and grated ginger, sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  2. Add sliced beef and cook for 2-3 minutes until browned.
  3. Pour in soy sauce, brown sugar, and beef broth. Close the lid and set the Instant Pot to high pressure for 10 minutes.
  4. Once the timer goes off, use the quick release method. Add broccoli florets, close the lid, and allow to steam for 2 minutes.
  5. In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with water to create a slurry. Stir this into the mixture to thicken the sauce.
  6. Serve hot, topped with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.

Notes

Feel free to substitute beef with chicken or tofu. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days or freeze for 2-3 months.
