- 1 lb beef, sliced thinly (flank steak or sirloin)
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch (for thickening)
- 2 tablespoons water
- Sesame seeds (for garnish)
- Chopped green onions (for garnish)
Instructions
- Set the Instant Pot to sauté mode. Pour in sesame oil and heat up. Add minced garlic and grated ginger, sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add sliced beef and cook for 2-3 minutes until browned.
- Pour in soy sauce, brown sugar, and beef broth. Close the lid and set the Instant Pot to high pressure for 10 minutes.
- Once the timer goes off, use the quick release method. Add broccoli florets, close the lid, and allow to steam for 2 minutes.
- In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with water to create a slurry. Stir this into the mixture to thicken the sauce.
- Serve hot, topped with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
Notes
Feel free to substitute beef with chicken or tofu. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days or freeze for 2-3 months.
