Delightful fried sandwiches filled with creamy cheesecake, fresh strawberries, and sweet strawberry preserves, perfect for breakfast, brunch, or dessert.

- 8 thick slices of brioche or challah bread
- 2 tablespoons butter, for the pan
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar, plus extra for dusting
- 1/2 cup fresh strawberries, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup strawberry preserves
- 2 large eggs
- 3 tablespoons whole milk
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese and powdered sugar. Mix until smooth and fluffy.
- Lay out four slices of brioche and spread a generous layer of the cream cheese mixture on each.
- Layer fresh strawberry slices over the cream cheese, then add about one tablespoon of strawberry preserves per sandwich.
- Top with the remaining bread slices and press gently to seal.
- In a shallow dish, beat the eggs and milk until fully combined.
- Dip each sandwich into the egg mixture, coating both sides and edges evenly.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and melt 1 tablespoon of butter until bubbling.
- Fry two sandwiches at a time for 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown and crisp. Repeat with the remaining butter and sandwiches.
- Transfer cooked sandwiches to a paper towel-lined plate to absorb excess butter.
- Dust with powdered sugar and serve immediately.
Notes
These sandwiches are best served warm and fresh out of the skillet. Experiment with different fruits and spreads for unique flavors.
