  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Chopped green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cut the steak into bite-sized pieces, aiming for about 1-inch cubes.
  2. In another bowl, mix the soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, garlic powder, and black pepper until the sugar is dissolved.
  3. Pour the marinade over the steak pieces, coating them well. Cover and let marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until hot.
  5. Remove the steak from the marinade, reserving the marinade, and add the steak pieces to the skillet in a single layer. Sear for about 2-3 minutes on each side.
  6. Pour the reserved marinade over the cooked steak bites in the skillet and continue cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  7. Garnish with chopped green onions and serve hot.

Notes

For added flavor, marinate the steak pieces for up to 2 hours. Pair with your favorite sides for a complete meal.
