Description

Festive sugared cranberries that add elegance and a sweet-tart flavor to your holiday table.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh cranberries
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • Extra granulated sugar for coating

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine 1 cup of sugar and 1 cup of water over medium heat. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  2. Once the sugar water reaches a boil, gently add the fresh cranberries and cook them for 1-2 minutes.
  3. Carefully remove the cranberries from the syrup and spread them out on a wire rack. Allow them to cool for about 10-15 minutes until they are slightly dried.
  4. When the cranberries are cool, roll them in extra granulated sugar until they are well coated.
  5. Let them dry completely before using as a garnish or enjoying them as a sweet treat.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week or refrigerate for up to two weeks.
