- 1 cup fresh cranberries
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup water
- Extra granulated sugar for coating
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine 1 cup of sugar and 1 cup of water over medium heat. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved.
- Once the sugar water reaches a boil, gently add the fresh cranberries and cook them for 1-2 minutes.
- Carefully remove the cranberries from the syrup and spread them out on a wire rack. Allow them to cool for about 10-15 minutes until they are slightly dried.
- When the cranberries are cool, roll them in extra granulated sugar until they are well coated.
- Let them dry completely before using as a garnish or enjoying them as a sweet treat.
Notes
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week or refrigerate for up to two weeks.
