Ingredients

- 2 tablespoons olive oil or butter
- 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme or parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil or butter in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add the sliced mushrooms and sauté for about 8-10 minutes, until they are browned and tender.
- Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
- Reduce the heat to low and mix in the softened cream cheese and sour cream, stirring until it melts and combines smoothly.
- Fold in half of the shredded mozzarella and all the grated Parmesan until everything is creamy and mixed well.
- Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella on top and transfer the skillet to a preheated oven at 375°F.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the top is bubbly and golden.
- Garnish with fresh thyme or parsley and serve hot!

This dip pairs well with crusty bread, crunchy crackers, veggie sticks, or tortilla chips.
