Description
A delightful combination of flavors wrapped in golden, crispy pizza dough, reminiscent of a bite-sized Italian feast.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
- 8 oz sliced Italian meats (salami, ham, pepperoni)
- 8 oz mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 8 oz provolone cheese, shredded
- 1 cup roasted red peppers, sliced
- 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Marinara sauce (for serving)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a large rectangle.
- Evenly layer the sliced Italian meats, mozzarella, provolone, roasted red peppers, and Italian seasoning over the dough.
- Carefully start rolling the dough from one long edge, forming a tight log.
- Pinch the edges to seal and place the seam side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Brush the top with the beaten egg for a beautiful golden finish.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
- Once out of the oven, let it cool for a few minutes, then slice and serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping.
Notes
Best enjoyed fresh out of the oven while the cheeses are still melty. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for a day or refrigerate for up to 3-4 days.
