Description
Deliciously gooey bars filled with the sweet indulgence of white chocolate and strawberries, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, very soft
- 1 box (15.25 ounces) strawberry cake mix
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
- 8 ounces sweetened condensed milk (about 60% of one 14-ounce can)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F and line a 9×9-inch pan with aluminum foil, then spray the foil with cooking spray.
- In a large bowl, beat the softened butter with a handheld electric mixer on medium-high speed until smooth and creamy.
- Add the strawberry cake mix and the egg, mixing on low speed until combined into a thick dough.
- Reserve about one-third of the dough and press the remaining dough into the prepared pan to form a smooth base layer.
- Sprinkle white chocolate chips evenly over the dough base.
- Drizzle the sweetened condensed milk over the chocolate chips.
- Break the remaining dough into 1-inch pieces and place them on top of the milk layer, gently pressing down.
- Bake for 27 to 30 minutes, or until the edges turn light golden brown and the center is almost set.
- Allow the bars to cool in the pan on a wire rack for at least 2 to 3 hours or ideally overnight before cutting.
Notes
For extra sweetness, melt some white chocolate to drizzle on top after baking. Do not overbake to ensure gooey texture.
