  • Total Time: 15 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings
  • Diet: Vegetarian

Description

A fun and delightful way to enjoy classic strawberry shortcake with fresh strawberries, fluffy angel food cake, and whipped cream, all assembled on skewers.

Ingredients

  • Fresh strawberries, washed and hulled
  • Angel food cake, cut into bite-sized cubes
  • Whipped cream (store-bought or homemade)
  • Skewers (wooden or metal)

Instructions

  1. Cut the angel food cake into small, bite-sized cubes.
  2. Rinse and hull the strawberries.
  3. On each skewer, thread a strawberry followed by a cube of angel food cake; repeat until the skewer is filled.
  4. Just before serving, drizzle or dollop whipped cream over the assembled kabobs. Enjoy!

Notes

For best results, use fresh, ripe strawberries and fluffy cake. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two days, adding whipped cream just before serving.
