  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. On a floured surface, roll out the puff pastry sheet until it’s slightly thinner.
  3. Cut the dough into even squares—about 4 inches on each side.
  4. In the center of each pastry square, place about a teaspoon of softened cream cheese and a dollop of strawberry jam.
  5. Fold the corners of each square towards the center, pinching them to seal the filling inside.
  6. Brush the tops of the danishes with the beaten egg to give them a beautiful golden color while baking.
  7. Arrange the sealed danishes on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until they are golden brown and puffed up.
  9. Once out of the oven, let them cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar if desired.
