Ingredients

  • 1 sheet of store-bought puff pastry
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut it into heart shapes.
  3. In a bowl, mix together the softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Place a tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each heart.
  5. Top with chopped strawberries.
  6. Fold the edges of the puff pastry hearts over and pinch to seal.
  7. Brush the tops with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Cool slightly and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
