- 1 sheet of store-bought puff pastry
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- Powdered sugar (for dusting)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut it into heart shapes.
- In a bowl, mix together the softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Place a tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each heart.
- Top with chopped strawberries.
- Fold the edges of the puff pastry hearts over and pinch to seal.
- Brush the tops with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Cool slightly and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
