Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast or thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1/2 tsp red chili flakes (optional)
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 8 oz noodles (rice or egg noodles)
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, and optional chili flakes to create your sauce.
  2. Toss the chicken pieces in cornstarch until they’re fully coated.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  4. Add the chicken to the pan and cook for 6 to 8 minutes, stirring occasionally until golden brown and fully cooked.
  5. Pour the sauce over the cooked chicken and mix well, letting it simmer for 2 to 3 minutes until it thickens.
  6. Meanwhile, cook your noodles per package instructions, drain them, and set aside.
  7. Combine the cooked noodles with the chicken, tossing well to coat everything in the sticky sauce.
  8. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving hot.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in the sauce for an hour before cooking. Feel free to substitute chicken thighs for breasts or use gluten-free noodles.
