Description
A comforting dish that combines tender chicken with a sweet and savory sauce, served over fluffy rice.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups cooked rice (white or brown)
- 1 lb chicken breast, diced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1/2 cup green onions, chopped
- Sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, minced garlic, and ginger. Stir until well blended.
- Heat the sesame oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the diced chicken and cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until browned and fully cooked through.
- Pour the prepared sauce over the chicken, and let it simmer for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens.
- Serve the sticky chicken over the cooked rice, garnished with chopped green onions and a sprinkle of sesame seeds.
Notes
Try marinating the chicken in the sauce for deeper flavor. Serve with cucumber salad or steamed broccoli for added crunch.
