- 8 oz. egg noodles
- 1 lb. beef (sirloin or flank steak), sliced thinly
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp. brown sugar
- 2 tbsp. hoisin sauce
- 1 tbsp. sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1-inch piece of ginger, minced
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 2 green onions, sliced
- Sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the Egg Noodles: Boil the egg noodles according to the package instructions. Once done, drain and set aside.
- Heat the Oil: In a large skillet or wok, heat the sesame oil over medium-high heat.
- Sauté Aromatics: Add the minced garlic and ginger, and stir-fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Cook the Beef: Toss in the sliced beef and cook until it’s browned on the outside.
- Create the Sauce: In a bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, brown sugar, and hoisin sauce. Pour this mixture over the beef and stir well.
- Add the Broccoli: Incorporate the broccoli into the pan and cook until it’s just tender, about 4-5 minutes.
- Combine with Noodles: Toss the cooked noodles into the skillet and mix everything well to ensure the noodles are coated in the sauce.
- Garnish and Serve: Finish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
