Description
Warm, cheesy stuffed shells filled with creamy ricotta and fresh spinach, smothered in marinara sauce.
Ingredients

- 12 large pasta shells
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup spinach, cooked and chopped (fresh or frozen)
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 jar marinara sauce
- 1 egg
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil (optional for greasing)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the pasta shells according to the package instructions until they are al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large bowl, mix the ricotta cheese, cooked spinach, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, egg, salt, and pepper until everything is well combined.
- Carefully stuff each pasta shell with the delicious spinach and ricotta mixture.
- Spread a layer of marinara sauce at the bottom of a baking dish.
- Place the stuffed shells in the dish and pour the remaining marinara sauce over the top.
- If desired, sprinkle additional mozzarella cheese on top.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes; then, uncover and bake for another 10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let the dish cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Serve alongside a fresh garden salad or garlic bread. Consider garnishing with fresh basil or parsley.
