Description
Delicious bite-sized pinwheels filled with creamy spinach dip, perfect for any gathering.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 bag of frozen chopped spinach (10 oz), thawed and well-drained
- 1 block of cream cheese (8 oz), softened
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 sheet of cold puff pastry, thawed
- 1 egg (for brushing)
Instructions
- Mix the Filling: In a bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, grated Parmesan, mayonnaise, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and the drained spinach. Mix until well-blended.
- Prepare the Pastry: Lightly flour your countertop and roll out the sheet of puff pastry. Evenly spread the spinach mixture over the pastry, leaving one long edge empty to seal it.
- Roll and Chill: Starting at the filled edge, tightly roll the pastry like a jelly roll. Wrap your log in plastic wrap and chill in the fridge for about 30 minutes to firm it up.
- Preheat and Slice: While the log chills, preheat your oven to 400°F. After half an hour, take it out, slice it into half-inch rounds, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Brush and Bake: Beat the egg with a splash of water and brush it over the top of each pinwheel. Bake for 15–20 minutes until puffed up and golden brown.
Notes
Serve warm and consider pairing with fresh marinara or a creamy garlic dip.
