Description
A festive and easy-to-make guacamole dip designed to look like a spooky spider web, perfect for Halloween gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups guacamole (homemade or store-bought)
- 1/4 cup sour cream (or Greek yogurt)
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 1/2 teaspoon salt (optional, to taste)
- Tortilla chips, pita chips, or veggie sticks, for serving
- Optional garnishes: black olives, cherry tomatoes, jalapeño slices
Instructions
- In a shallow bowl, spread guacamole evenly and smooth the surface. Splash with lime juice if desired.
- Spoon sour cream into a piping bag (or sandwich bag) and snip a small tip.
- Pipe two intersecting lines to make a cross, then two diagonals (✳), connecting the lines with gentle curved arcs to form a web.
- Use half a black olive for the spider’s body and cut another olive into thin strips for legs. Place on the web.
- Ring the bowl with chips or veggies and serve immediately.
Notes
For best presentation, add garnishes just before serving. Keep leftover guacamole covered tightly to prevent browning.
