Description

A comforting dish that transforms simple spaghetti into a satisfying meal with rich, flavorful meat sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • Spaghetti
  • Grated parmesan cheese, for serving

Instructions

  1. Cook spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. In a large skillet, heat a splash of oil over medium heat and add ground beef. Cook until browned and fully cooked.
  3. Add diced onion and minced garlic. Sauté until onion is softened and garlic is fragrant, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Stir in canned tomatoes, tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, salt and pepper. Mix well.
  5. Let the sauce simmer on low heat for about 20 minutes.
  6. Drain the spaghetti and toss it with the meat sauce until well coated.
  7. Serve hot, topped with grated parmesan cheese.

Notes

Add crushed red pepper flakes for heat or mix in chopped spinach for a nutrient boost. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to three days, or freeze for up to three months.
