Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
- Spaghetti
- Grated parmesan cheese, for serving
Instructions
- Cook spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente.
- In a large skillet, heat a splash of oil over medium heat and add ground beef. Cook until browned and fully cooked.
- Add diced onion and minced garlic. Sauté until onion is softened and garlic is fragrant, about 2-3 minutes.
- Stir in canned tomatoes, tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, salt and pepper. Mix well.
- Let the sauce simmer on low heat for about 20 minutes.
- Drain the spaghetti and toss it with the meat sauce until well coated.
- Serve hot, topped with grated parmesan cheese.
Notes
Add crushed red pepper flakes for heat or mix in chopped spinach for a nutrient boost. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to three days, or freeze for up to three months.
