Ingredients

- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/4 cups water
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup active sourdough starter
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, water, salt, and sourdough starter. Stir until you achieve a shaggy dough.
- Cover the bowl and let it rest for 30 minutes.
- Knead the dough in the bowl for about 10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
- Shape the kneaded dough into a ball and transfer it to a floured bowl. Cover and let rise for 4-6 hours, until it has doubled in size.
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C) and place a Dutch oven inside to heat thoroughly.
- Once the dough has risen, carefully remove the hot Dutch oven. Gently transfer the dough into the pot, cover with the lid, and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove the lid and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until the crust is golden brown.
- Allow the bread to cool on a wire rack before slicing. Enjoy!

Serve with butter, olive oil, or use for sandwiches. Store wrapped in parchment or a towel for freshness.
