Smoked Salmon Carbonara

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x
  • Diet: Pescatarian

Description

A quick and indulgent smoked salmon carbonara that combines creamy pasta with savory garlic and bold flavors.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 200g spaghetti
  • 150g smoked salmon, sliced
  • 2 large eggs
  • 100ml heavy cream
  • 50g grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the spaghetti in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, grated Parmesan, and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant, avoiding browning it too much.
  4. Once the spaghetti is cooked, use tongs to transfer it directly from the pot to the skillet and remove from heat.
  5. Quickly stir in the egg mixture until the spaghetti is coated and creamy.
  6. Fold in the sliced smoked salmon gently.
  7. Serve right away, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

For a creative twist, try using Pecorino Romano instead of Parmesan, or add baby spinach and capers for extra flavor.
