Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C). Grease and flour a bundt pan or a 10-inch tube pan.
- Beat together softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the flour mixture and milk to the butter and egg mixture, mixing gently on low speed.
- Stir in vanilla and optional almond extract.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 75-85 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes before inverting onto a wire rack.
- Prepare the glaze by whisking together powdered sugar, milk (or cream), and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Drizzle the glaze over the cooled cake and let it set before slicing.
