- 1 pound beef flank steak
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- Olive oil for cooking
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Lay the beef flank steak flat on a cutting board and pound it to an even thickness.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the minced garlic, grated Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, dried oregano, salt, and pepper to create the filling.
- Spread the herb mixture evenly over the prepared beef flank steak.
- Roll up the steak tightly and securely tie it with kitchen twine or use toothpicks to hold it together.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and carefully sear the rolled beef until browned on all sides.
- Transfer the browned braciole to a baking dish and pour the marinara sauce over the top, then cover with foil.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 90 minutes, or until the beef is tender.
- Let it rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving with extra marinara sauce.
Notes
Serve with creamy polenta or garlicky sautéed greens. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
