Ingredients

- 1 cup of unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C). Line two lightly colored baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In the bowl of a stand mixer, combine the softened butter, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and flour. Mix slowly until a crumbly dough forms.
- Form the dough into a ball and roll it between two sheets of parchment paper to about 1/3 to 1/2 inch thickness. Cut out desired shapes.
- Place the cut-outs onto the prepared baking sheets.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the bottoms are barely golden brown.
- Allow the cookies to cool for 5 minutes on the baking trays before transferring them to cooling racks.
Notes
Store cookies in airtight containers at room temperature for up to 5 days. For longer storage, freeze cooled cookies in a freezer-safe bag.
