Description

A delightful one-pan dish combining fresh broccoli, chicken sausage, and creamy cheese tortellini, perfect for busy weeknights.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs fresh broccoli, cut into florets
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 11 oz chicken sausage, sliced
  • 16 oz frozen cheese tortellini
  • 8 oz grated parmesan cheese
  • 6 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: red chili flakes for a hint of heat

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400ºF.
  2. On a sheet pan, toss the broccoli florets with minced garlic, 2 tablespoons of olive oil, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
  3. Roast the broccoli for 10 minutes, until it’s bright green yet still crisp.
  4. Increase the oven temperature to 450ºF.
  5. In a large bowl, mix the roasted broccoli with sliced chicken sausage, frozen cheese tortellini, the remaining olive oil, and half of the grated parmesan cheese.
  6. Prepare the sheet pan by drizzling it with olive oil, then spread the mixture evenly across it.
  7. Bake in the oven for 12-15 minutes until the tortellini is tender and everything is melted and golden brown.
  8. Just before serving, sprinkle the remaining parmesan on top for extra cheesy goodness.

Notes

Pair with a crisp salad or garlic bread. To store leftovers, cool completely, transfer to an airtight container, and refrigerate for up to 3-4 days.
