Description
A quick and flavorful side dish of sautéed green beans with garlic and butter, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
- 2 tablespoons butter (or plant-based alternative)
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, freshly cracked, to taste
Instructions
- Wash and trim the green beans, cutting off the ends for a neater presentation.
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the butter, allowing it to melt and bubble.
- Once the butter is melted, toss in the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant—be careful not to burn it!
- Add the green beans to the skillet and season with salt and pepper.
- Sauté the green beans for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are bright green and tender-crisp.
- Taste and adjust seasoning, then remove from heat. Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
For a healthier option, consider using olive oil instead of butter. Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for some heat.
