Description

Delightful dessert bars with a rich flavor of caramel and sweet apples, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups peeled and diced apples
  • 1 cup salted caramel sauce
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, and add the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until combined.
  5. Fold in the diced apples.
  6. Pour half of the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
  7. Drizzle half of the salted caramel sauce over the batter.
  8. Pour the remaining batter on top and finish with the rest of the caramel sauce.
  9. Using a knife, swirl the caramel into the batter.
  10. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  11. Allow to cool before slicing into bars and serving.

Notes

Serve warm or at room temperature. Best stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to five days.
