- 1 ½ tbsp olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 lb (450 g) fresh green beans, trimmed
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- ¼ cup (25 g) grated Parmesan cheese
- Optional: pinch of red pepper flakes
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Wash and trim the green beans, ensuring they’re nice and dry.
- In a bowl, combine the green beans with the olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Toss until evenly coated.
- Spread the beans out on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer for even roasting.
- Roast in the oven for 12–15 minutes, flipping halfway through to ensure even cooking.
- Sprinkle the grated Parmesan over the beans and return to the oven for an additional 2–3 minutes until the cheese is golden and crispy.
- Serve immediately, enhancing with a squeeze of lemon juice if desired.
Notes
For a vegan option, substitute Parmesan with nutritional yeast.
