Ingredients

- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast
- 1/2 cup milk, warmed
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup raspberry jam (or your choice of fruit jam)
- Additional butter for spreading
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the warm milk, melted butter, and eggs until combined.
- Gradually pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, mixing until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise in a warm place until it doubles in size, approximately 1-2 hours.
- Once risen, gently punch the dough down. Roll it out into a rectangle and spread the raspberry jam evenly over it.
- Starting from one edge, carefully roll the dough into a log and place it in a greased loaf pan.
- Cover the loaf and let it rise again until doubled, about 30-45 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown on top.
- Allow it to cool before slicing and serve toasted with butter.
