Description

A delightful brioche loaf swirled with homemade raspberry jam, perfect for brunch or a cozy family gathering.


Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup milk, warmed
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup raspberry jam (or your choice of fruit jam)
  • Additional butter for spreading

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the warm milk, melted butter, and eggs until combined.
  3. Gradually pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, mixing until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise in a warm place until it doubles in size, approximately 1-2 hours.
  6. Once risen, gently punch the dough down. Roll it out into a rectangle and spread the raspberry jam evenly over it.
  7. Starting from one edge, carefully roll the dough into a log and place it in a greased loaf pan.
  8. Cover the loaf and let it rise again until doubled, about 30-45 minutes.
  9. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  10. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown on top.
  11. Allow it to cool before slicing and serve toasted with butter.
