- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp olive oil (optional for searing)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Optional: Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat and sear each chicken breast for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.
- In the crock pot, combine the cream of chicken soup, ranch seasoning, chicken broth, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Mix well.
- Place the chicken breasts into the crock pot and coat them thoroughly with the sauce mixture.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is tender and cooked through.
- Once done, shred the chicken with two forks and stir it into the creamy sauce.
- Mix in the sour cream and garnish with shredded cheese and fresh parsley if desired.
