- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the warm water, sugar, and yeast. Allow it to sit for about 5 minutes or until it becomes frothy.
- Once the yeast is activated, add the flour and salt. Stir until a dough begins to form.
- Lightly flour your surface and knead the dough briefly for a few minutes.
- Place the kneaded dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise for 30 minutes in a warm spot.
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Gently shape the risen dough into a loaf and place it on a baking sheet. Use a sharp knife to make a few slashes across the top.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.

Notes
Store leftover bread in a paper bag at room temperature for up to two days. For longer storage, wrap it tightly and freeze for up to three months.
