  • 2 teaspoons active dry yeast

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the warm water, sugar, and yeast. Allow it to sit for about 5 minutes or until it becomes frothy.
  2. Once the yeast is activated, add the flour and salt. Stir until a dough begins to form.
  3. Lightly flour your surface and knead the dough briefly for a few minutes.
  4. Place the kneaded dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise for 30 minutes in a warm spot.
  5. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  6. Gently shape the risen dough into a loaf and place it on a baking sheet. Use a sharp knife to make a few slashes across the top.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.
