Homemade pumpkin syrup that transforms ordinary coffee into a creamy pumpkin spice delight.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine the pumpkin puree, sugar, and water.
  2. Bring to a gentle boil, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
  3. Reduce the heat and add the vanilla extract and pumpkin pie spice.
  4. Simmer for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Remove from heat and let it cool before straining through a fine mesh sieve.
  6. Store in a jar in the refrigerator.

Notes

Use 100% pumpkin puree, avoid pumpkin pie filling. Regular granulated sugar works best, or substitute with brown sugar for a deeper flavor.
