- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon pink food coloring
- Optional: powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Set it aside.
- In another bowl, cream the softened butter with the granulated sugar and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Mix in the eggs, vanilla extract, and pink food coloring until well combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are set, allowing the cookies to keep their soft center.
- Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
- If desired, dust with powdered sugar before serving.
