  • 2 large eggs

  • 1 tablespoon pink food coloring
  • Optional: powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Set it aside.
  3. In another bowl, cream the softened butter with the granulated sugar and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Mix in the eggs, vanilla extract, and pink food coloring until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  6. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are set, allowing the cookies to keep their soft center.
  8. Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. If desired, dust with powdered sugar before serving.
