Description

A comforting dish that combines the classic flavors of a Philly cheesesteak in a creamy pasta recipe, perfect for weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef or steak strips
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded provolone cheese
  • 12 oz pasta (penne or rigatoni recommended)
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced green bell pepper, onion, and minced garlic, and sauté for about 4-5 minutes until softened.
  3. Add the ground beef or steak strips to the skillet and cook until browned, seasoning with salt and pepper.
  4. Stir in the softened cream cheese and beef broth, continuing to stir until the cream cheese is fully melted and the mixture is smooth.
  5. Combine the cooked pasta with the sauce until fully coated. Sprinkle shredded provolone cheese on top and broil in the oven for 3-5 minutes until melted and bubbly.
  6. Remove from the oven and serve hot.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat with a splash of beef broth for creaminess.
