Description
A quick and easy dessert that combines the rich, buttery taste of pecan pie filling with flaky crescent rolls.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 can Pillsbury Crescent Rolls
- 3/4 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup light corn syrup
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 large egg
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the sugar, corn syrup, melted butter, vanilla extract, and egg. Set aside 2 tablespoons of this mixture for later use.
- Stir the chopped pecans into the remaining filling until well coated.
- Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into individual triangles on the prepared baking sheet.
- Spoon 2 to 3 tablespoons of the pecan mixture on the widest end of each triangle and roll them up toward the narrow end.
- Place the rolls in the preheated oven and bake for 8 minutes or until they start to set.
- Remove the rolls from the oven and brush each with the reserved 2 tablespoons of the filling, then return them to the oven for an additional 5 minutes or until they are lightly golden brown.
- For an extra touch, sprinkle some additional chopped pecans on top before serving.
Notes
These rolls can be served warm or at room temperature. They can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days, or frozen for later use.
