Ingredients

- 1 lb fresh green beans
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Trim the ends of the fresh green beans and arrange them on a baking sheet.
- Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle the garlic powder, along with salt and pepper.
- Toss the green beans to ensure they’re evenly coated in the oil and seasonings.
- Spread them out in a single layer on the baking sheet to promote even roasting.
- Roast in the oven for about 15 minutes.
- When the beans are just tender, remove them from the oven and sprinkle the grated Parmesan over the top.
- Return the pan to the oven, roasting for an additional 5 minutes or until the cheese is melted and golden.
- If desired, give a quick drizzle of lemon juice upon serving for a burst of flavor.
Notes
Serve garnished with extra Parmesan or parsley for color. Pairs well with grilled proteins or light pasta dishes.
