  • Yield: 4 servings 1x
  • Diet: Vegetarian

Description

A delicious and easy side dish featuring roasted green beans topped with melted Parmesan and a hint of garlic.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb fresh green beans
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Trim the ends of the fresh green beans and arrange them on a baking sheet.
  3. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle the garlic powder, along with salt and pepper.
  4. Toss the green beans to ensure they’re evenly coated in the oil and seasonings.
  5. Spread them out in a single layer on the baking sheet to promote even roasting.
  6. Roast in the oven for about 15 minutes.
  7. When the beans are just tender, remove them from the oven and sprinkle the grated Parmesan over the top.
  8. Return the pan to the oven, roasting for an additional 5 minutes or until the cheese is melted and golden.
  9. If desired, give a quick drizzle of lemon juice upon serving for a burst of flavor.

Notes

Serve garnished with extra Parmesan or parsley for color. Pairs well with grilled proteins or light pasta dishes.
