Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a mini muffin tin.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, mix the buttermilk, egg, and melted butter until combined.
- Combine the wet ingredients with the dry mixture and stir until just combined; be careful not to overmix.
- If desired, fold in chocolate chips or berries.
- Fill each muffin cup about two-thirds full with the batter.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until a toothpick poked in the center comes out clean.
