- 6 croissants, torn into pieces
- 6 eggs
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup shredded cheese (Swiss or Cheddar)
- 1 cup diced ham or cooked bacon
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard (optional)
Instructions
- Grease a baking dish.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, Dijon mustard (if using), salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Layer the torn croissants, shredded cheese, diced ham (or bacon), and chopped green onions in the prepared baking dish.
- Pour the egg mixture evenly over the layered ingredients, making sure everything is well soaked.
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil and refrigerate overnight.
- The next day, preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Bake, uncovered, for about 30-40 minutes or until the casserole is set and golden brown on top.
- Serve warm.
