Ingredients

  • 6 croissants, torn into pieces
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (Swiss or Cheddar)
  • 1 cup diced ham or cooked bacon
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard (optional)

Instructions

  1. Grease a baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, Dijon mustard (if using), salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Layer the torn croissants, shredded cheese, diced ham (or bacon), and chopped green onions in the prepared baking dish.
  4. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the layered ingredients, making sure everything is well soaked.
  5. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and refrigerate overnight.
  6. The next day, preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  7. Bake, uncovered, for about 30-40 minutes or until the casserole is set and golden brown on top.
